Hockey art making another Ontario tour

Michael Slotwinski shows his project Hockey’s Masked Men – a collection of oil paintings. The Sarnia man will be heading out on a tour this fall and winter of Ontario’s OHL arenas and sporting and charity events, starting with a show at the Sarnia Sting’s home opener on Sept. 20.
The man with the oil masks will be back on display this fall.
Sarnia’s Michael Slotwinski, the artist behind ‘Hockey’s Masked Men,’ is setting out next week on another tour of the province’s Ontario Hockey League arenas, as well as sporting and charity events, to display his art collections.
The project is a series of large size oil paintings of iconic NHL hockey goalie masks, including those of Jacques Plante, Andy Moog, Tony Esposito, and many recent masks such as those of James Reimer and Carey Price.
Slotwinski, touring with new paintings this year, was invited back to every stop from last year’s route and has added new venues to his route this season.
‘Period Two’ of the Hockey’s Masked Men kicks off Sept. 20 at the Sarnia Sting home opener at the RBC Centre.
