Hockey Town Kitchener

Once again a reminder, tomorrow (Saturday, March 9th) I will be bringing my Hockey’s Masked Men art exhibit to the City of Kitchener. I’ve been really looking forward to this event. Good times will be had by all. I hope to see many people there! As always I will be standing next to my exhibit for the duration of the event. Please, by all means, feel free to come on up and talk one on one with me – I highly encourage it.

Hockey Town returns for third year on Civic Square

Kitchener – Hockey fans come one, come all! Please join us on Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Kitchener City Hall for some hands-on hockey fun and inside the Rotunda to view a collection of hockey memorabilia, as Hockey Town is back for its third year.

The day’s festivities include an art exhibit called “Hockey’s Masked Men” presented by Michael Slotwinski, featuring some of the greatest goalies in the game. Individuals will have the chance to collect some of Slotwinski’s paintings printed on collectible cards. Fans can also check out the Hockey Hall of Fame’s exhibit of iconic NHL trophies, and a charity barbeque hosted by Kitchener Minor Hockey.

With the assistance of the Kitchener Minor Hockey League and delegates from Kitchener Council, 10 teams from the tyke division will be playing for the Mayor’s Cup. With five games in total, games will run from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Kitchener Councillors Kelly Galloway-Sealock (Ward 5) and Dan Glenn-Graham (Ward 10) will have official puck dropping duties and the honour of presenting the Mayor’s Cup.
